Mr Fredricksen!

I had to take the day off work today as we were expecting a furniture delivery. Whilst I waited, it was an opportunity to catch up on a task which was way behind schedule, namely the compilation of all the various articles and reports submitted by enthusiastic and knowledgeable folk for the 2018 Orkney Field Club Bulletin. Although there's a standard format for the journal, when it comes to bolting it all together, the fact that we all use slightly different versions of Microsoft Word usually throws the odd spanner in the works. Hence me being behind schedule.

However, nature outside was providing a convenient distraction from the nature on my computer screen, in the form of the Snipe that first appeared about three weeks ago, and who is still putting in occasional appearances (just not when I have the camera trap deployed).

So there was no real need for a snipe hunt (in case you wondering about the 'Up!' reference), I just had to look out of the study window.

But no squirrels!

I think you're confusing its rubber billet with rubber bullets?
