Dawning realisation

Our Lass spent a week in Paris recently, ostensibly as part of a re-union, but the real reason was to see how many times Birmingham Airport could lose her luggage. Twice, as it turned out. It's a skill.

At Charles de Gaulle airport, as she prepared to return to home, she overheard an English lady, in the same queue, complaining that Disneyland Paris had been full of French people.

I think this attitude tells you much of what you need to know about the predicament in which the UK currently finds itself.

Whilst I voted to Remain within the EU, I can now see that Europe is probably better off without us, dumb-headed pillocks that we are.

I laughed out loud. I'm sure, though, that every country has them - I was in Killarney as a tour bus unloaded its contents of middle aged Americans. One lady loudly proclaimed that the castle visit had been terrible, because the guide was Irish! She was apparently quite affronted that the castle hadn't employed an American to do the job. 'Ah couldn't understand a darn thang she said!' came the lady's strident tones.
You have to wonder why some people travel abroad.😊

Indeed, every country will have folk like this. I just can't help thinking that maybe the UK now has more than its fair share. Gotta love democracy without responsibility.

You need to find on Google the list of these kind of complaints from a tour company - very funny and includes the complaint described in the blog!

Used to witness it enough on the 'boat trips'. It was one of the highlights of going. When the cetacean and birdwatching went quiet, and in the evenings too, we would be entertained by watching the 'Brit Abroad'.

One year someone complained they couldn't get their morning paper delivered! Someone once accused us of littering by tossing the outer casing of langoustines we were eating back into the sea where they came from!! snigger!!! We so miss that boat!

Oh and another 'boat incident' was the time a passenger attending the afternoon whale and dolphin watch complained as they were expecting to see the animals performing by jumping through hoops etc off the back of the boat!!
